Driving to Grand Canyon from Las Vegas (300 km) through Arizona partially on the Route 66
the amazing Grand Canyon at sunset

Hiked down into the canyon - or at least a bit... it started quite steep
..the temperature started to increase. Luckily the desert temperature didn't hit us - there were plenty of winds and clouds..
..in front of another drop into the canyon...
... and final destination: we stopped after 650 m drop as our goal was to see the Colorado river(the little water on the left bottom). Decided against of touching it which would have meant another 800 m drop in the increasing heat - "life threatening action" as most of the boards on the rim indicated...
Back again on the rim, just enjoying the view - we cannot have enough of it.
